About me
Hello, I am Martina, alternative practitioner & alternative practitioner for psychotherapy
Since 2009, I have helped over 4,000 people regain their strength. People come to me from all over Germany and from German-speaking countries. They seek my advice on anxiety and atypical eating disorders, which I specialize in. Business coaching is also an important part of my work. This has something to do with my professional career. And it forms an interesting arc that still shapes my work today.
For me, business and people-centered work are combined
In the first part of my professional life, I studied business administration. And for many years I worked in senior management positions in well-known companies, including Sony and Deutsche Telekom. I was managing director of a joint venture between Bertelsmann and Vodafone. Everything was very successful; I had achieved everything I wanted to achieve up to that point.
Why am I a passionate alternative practitioner today?
The point came when I asked myself: What am I really interested in? I took a four-week break to get to the bottom of this question. It was around Christmas. The only time when I could do that. And the answer was clear: What matters to me is people. And not how many televisions are sold, how many ISDN connections… people are much more important. By that time I had already completed coaching training and numerous other further training courses: in general management, team and employee management, behavior profiling, large account management, communication, rhetoric and conflict management, among others. Even then, dealing with people was a key interest. And then I made the decision: next year I will reposition myself professionally. I did that; I have been self-employed since 2009. And to this day I am happy every day that I took this step.
My path from the business world to the human being
Even in my career in the private sector, I encountered a wide range of topics relating to fear. I have already been able to achieve a lot with coaching, but there are limits. My interest is in helping people to tap into their resources. And to show what they are really good at - with joy and with ease. However, fear prevents this; it blocks people. A large part of my work deals with anxiety disorders. Even though many people come to my practice who initially complain of physical complaints. Emetophobia is one such case, the fear of nausea and vomiting. This fear manifests itself in many different facets. And is therefore often misdiagnosed. A great motivation for further intensive training and certifications: business coach, alternative practitioner & alternative practitioner for psychotherapy. I have also completed training in talk therapy, including medical hypnotherapy.
My practice is located in Düsseldorf, centrally located, around the corner from the Kö
Kö is what the people of Düsseldorf affectionately call their Königsallee. This famous street stretches almost a kilometer from north to south, from the Hofgarten to Friedrichstadt. A resting place for connoisseurs combined with the Rhineland joie de vivre.
And a sight in itself with many architectural features. Especially during the breaks, new ideas are born here, with a view of the green heart of the Kö and its chestnut trees that line the city moat, into which real Düssel water flows.
Martina privately
I have a genuine interest in supporting people and, in addition to my work as a coach and therapist, I have been involved in voluntary projects and counseling centers for over 30 years. I am the proud mother of two grown children and a grandmother of four. In my free time, I sing in the choir, ride my bike, cook and enjoy reading. I also like to spend short breaks in the year in the monastery.
